Royal Farms was facing a companywide turnover rate of 127%. While conducting exit
interviews, the HR department learned that the top complaint by employees leaving
was lack of consistency in not only the initial training message, but lack of consistent
discipline in relation to procedures taught by management.
Royal Farms executive team hired Ready Training, Inc. (RTO) to develop and implement
a new way for them to train. The Ready Training team suggested they start with basic
new hire training and add modules as they are needed. Currently, they have about
50 training modules and continue to add to their training library as new menu items
or policies are implemented. Since implementing the new training program, their
turnover has been reduced to 77%.
